Virtual Private Network (VPN) Remote Access provides customers with real time support from a BEUMER Group Hotline engineer over a reliable and secure connection to the servers and other IT equipment.

Resolve software issues in real time

The VPN Remote Access service is a vital lifeline for swift resolution of software issues which may affect system availability and capacity. Rather than waiting for an engineer to arrive on-site, a BEUMER Group Hotline engineer simply logs in remotely to the customer system to analyse and resolve software issues in real time.

A reliable connection is ensured by using proven and secure encryption algorithms combined with faster connection times compared to technologies such as ISDN or analogue modem. This high-speed VPN connection helps to minimise resolution times by providing a faster transfer of log files and updates to the software on customer systems.

In addition to its role in providing real time support, VPN Remote Access also enables other Hotline services such as Performance Monitoring, Virus Protection, OS Patching and Remote Profibus Monitoring. Due to the high level of security, stability and speed of remote access over the VPN, most of the BEUMER Group customers with legacy systems have added VPN Remote Access to their service package.

Our hotline support functions

Our Hotline Support is located in Aarhus, Denmark and Beckum, Germany and manages more than 500 Hotline contracts. Its service includes more than 1,100 industrial products within the four core areas conveying and loading, palletising and packaging, sortation and distribution and resolves more than 5,000 cases every year. Furthermore it is always available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
