BEUMER Group Virus Protection is designed to identify and isolate viruses, worms, Trojans and other malicious threats that may affect the software installed on the servers of our customers.

Extensive simulations on live test sorters

As each new threat is identified by BEUMER Group’s Anti-virus Protection supplier, the update is tested in BEUMER Group’s Anti-virus Test Lab. By running extensive simulations on live BEUMER Group test sorters, the Test Lab ensures that the new Virus Protection update will not impact on system performance or availability when it is installed on customers’ servers.

After verification and qualification, the files are uploaded to the local distribution server at the customer site. The customer servers are configured to automatically update the server clients and to run scheduled scans outside each customer’s scheduled production times. A full report, including scan results and action plans for any identified threats, will be emailed to each customer.

A rigorous Virus Protection program is vital to maintaining high availability and capacity of the sorting system. BEUMER Group’s service minimises installation time for virus updates and management by using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to provide secure access to connect remotely to customer systems

Our hotline support functions

Our Hotline Support is located in Aarhus, Denmark and Beckum, Germany and manages more than 500 Hotline contracts. Its service includes more than 1,100 industrial products within the four core areas conveying and loading, palletising and packaging, sortation and distribution and resolves more than 5,000 cases every year. Furthermore it is always available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
