The Loading Process
Loading individual packages into containers is one of the most time-consuming processes in courier, express and parcel services (CEP). This is a result of the high level of manual labour required at this stage. The parcels are evenly distributed via roller chutes with brakes onto telescopic belt conveyors. At this point, the packages have reached the last automated step. Now it is necessary to stack the packages one by one in the container in order to utilize the transport space as effectively as possible.
Our solutions improve this process by bringing the package as close as possible to its destination within the container. Our telescopic belt conveyors were developed for this purpose, they support faster and more ergonomic loading in the truck by keeping the distance between the load, the person and the transport location as short as possible. The end of the boom can be dynamically adjusted to the position of the logistics specialist, thus guaranteeing short distances during the entire loading process-

Our BEUMER telescopic belt conveyors increase productivity by bringing the unit load as deep as possible into the container via the loading ramp. The extended boom conveyor reaches up to 20 meters into the container. The end position can be continuously adjusted to the depth of the cargo space during the entire loading process.
Via a control panel at the front, the operator conveniently and precisely controls the height and length of the telescope. This avoids unnecessary lifitng and carrying of packages and saves strength. Other functions such as switching the working light on and off, adjusting the conveying speed and the conveying direction are also operated directly by the logistics specialist here.
Safety for your employees
BEUMER attaches great importance to occupational safety so that loose loading is not only fast and ergonomic, but also safe. Wherever possible, moving parts are covered to prevent injuries. Emergency stop switches are located in the immediate vicinity of the work area and can therefore be reached quickly. Ergonomic design and the ability to adjust the working height to suit each individual operator also contribute to occupational safety. At the push of a button, each employee can select their preferred settings.

With the help of the BEUMER fillpac® FFS, bulk material can be reliably filled into bags and sealed with accuracy to the gram. This unit is easy to maintain and can fill and form up to 2,600 bags per hour. This process is very gentle on the product.
