Job Description

The Manager, Warehouse Operations is responsible for leading all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, safety, and team performance. This role oversees daily warehouse activities while driving process standardization, continuous improvement, workforce development, and technology adoption.

This is a unique opportunity to build, standardize, and modernize a warehouse operation while developing the people, processes, and systems necessary to support long-term growth and world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, material storage, picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Oversee tool cage operations, inventory control, and accountability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Build a high-performing team through clear expectations, performance management, training, and succession planning.
  • Champion safety initiatives, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and promote a culture where safety is a shared responsibility.
  • Lead warehouse standardization efforts, including SOP development, work instructions, process discipline, and operational best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, employee engagement, root-cause problem solving, and KPI management.
  • Play a leadership role in the implementation and optimization of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Utilize SAP and related business systems to manage inventory, reporting, and warehouse operations.
  • Develop labor planning, workforce forecasting, workload management, and operational reporting processes.
  • Partner with Customer Support, Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, IT, QHSE, and Operations to achieve common business objectives.
  • Communicate priorities, challenges, opportunities, and performance expectations effectively across all levels of the organization.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of warehouse leadership or distribution management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and material flow.
  • Experience leading organizational change, process improvement, and team development initiatives.
  • SAP experience required; WMS implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing SOPs, operational standards, labor planning tools, and performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams and drive accountability.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can successfully manage daily warehouse operations while driving continuous improvement, standardization, safety, and organizational change. The leader is passionate about developing people, implementing new systems, improving processes, and building a culture focused on accountability, customer service, operational excellence, and safety.

The successful candidate will possess the leadership presence, business acumen, and operational expertise necessary to build a scalable warehouse operation that supports growth, improves customer satisfaction, and delivers measurable business results.

Annual compensation range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00
The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.
