Job Description

We are looking for a Test Manager to join our team based in Heathrow. 

  • The Test Manager coordinates and is responsible for onsite test and commissioning activities according to schedule.
  • Manages project commissioning team and relevant sub-suppliers for successful delivery.
  • Responsible for building a trust based relationship with the client`s representatives.
  • Responsible in monitoring and controlling via site progress reports, and tracking commissioning related issues

Key tasks and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Plan and coordinate all site activities and sequence of test and commissioning work, including third party suppliers and other trades working in the area to ensure seamless and consolidated workflow according to schedule and complying to requirements.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update commissioning strategy, site management plan, commissioning plan and project Integration Test Plan (ITP) for level 7 to 1.
  • Take part of coordination and prioritisation of equipment to site/ site activities and installation sequence. Follow the installation of critical components e.g., as the system network, server room setup and scanner equipment.
  • Create budget for Commissioning in close dialog and coordination with PM /TPM.
  • Participate Project Gate Meetings, especially take active role in "Ready for Commissioning Gate Meeting" and "Commissioning Complete".
  • Review the contractual requirements to commissioning in detail and communicate findings to relevant parties in the project.
  • A preliminary input to the project time schedule and continuous contribution with input from relevant stakeholders such as commissioning engineers(s), sub-suppliers etc.
  • Continuous contribution to risk register, resource plan and budget update with a "commissioning perspective".
  • Participate actively in the Change Management Board.
  • Input to delivery of materials.
  • Participate in meetings with the customer, architect, consultant, building contractor, local sub-suppliers etc.
  • Facilitate site meetings with BEUMER Group employees and suppliers.
  • Manage the overall performance testing and document the results towards the customer.
  • Being point of contact for the customer and building contractor(s) for site activities.
  • Create, maintain and update internal progress report and external report to the Customer.
  • Review progress reports from the relevant sub-suppliers.
  • Update and track site related issues.
  • Follow up on open points internal and with suppliers.
  • Facilitate structured handover to Customer Support.

Qualifications

Qualifications

HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

HND in Computing (Software Engineering)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Baggage Handling Systems Projects with a similar role (preferred)

Material Handling System Projects with a similar role

Experience in project analysis, coding and testing High Level Controls Systems (SCADA and SAC) and Low Level Controls Systems (PLC)

  • Experience in performing and coordinating FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), iSAT (Integrated Site
  • Acceptance Test – with SCADA / SAC) and any other witness events
  • Experience in on-site software / hardware version control, verification and validation

Coordination of multiple third-party testing activities
