Team Lead – Software Platform Engineering

Are you motivated by people management and do you want to help develop the platform for you colleagues within software development? 

Join BEUMER Group’s Software Platform Team and lead the development of the core platform that powers our global software ecosystem. You’ll be at the center of enabling fast, secure, and frictionless product development—making it easy for teams to build the right thing, the right way. - in other words, you will be shaping how +270 developers build software at scale 

This is a leadership role with real impact: you’ll define how we build software across the company while growing a high-performing, international team (Denmark, Germany, Poland). 

Your Mission 
Make product, project, and support teams highly effective by removing complexity and enabling seamless software development and operations. 

You’ll lead a global team of engineers, set clear direction, and drive a strong platform mindset across the organization. You report to the Global Head of Platform and work closely with a small leadership team shaping BEUMER’s future software ecosystem. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of 8–12 engineers 

• Own the platform roadmap and execution of it as the Technical Product Owner 

• Deliver a frictionless, self-service developer experience 

• Embed security, compliance, and best practices into the platform by default 

• Leverage AI to enhance developer productivity and platform capabilities 

• Drive adoption and alignment with architecture and platform strategy 

What You Bring 
We expect you to have proven experience in leading a software engineering team, either formally or informally and to have a strong grasp of modern development (DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-native, security) 
You also have: 

• Experience applying AI/automation to improve developer workflows or platforms 

• The ability to connect technology, product, and people 

• Strong stakeholder management in a global setup 

• Passion for simplicity, usability, and developer experience 

You succeed by building and empowering a high-performing team that delivers tangible business impact through secure, compliant, and efficient software delivery. You lead the integration of AI into developer workflows and drive widespread platform adoption and trust.
