This role serves as a key member of the finance team, taking full ownership of General Ledger (GL) activities, SG&A controlling, and team leadership. The position plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while driving finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. GL Leadership & Accounting Ownership
- Act as the GL Lead, taking full ownership of the company’s general ledger and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, continuously improving closing efficiency and timelines.
- Review and approve accounting treatment for key areas including revenue recognition, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with PRC GAAP and Group IFRS reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and external regulatory requirements
2. SG&A Controlling
- Provide SG&A analysis, variance analysis vs. budget and forecast for business.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring high data quality and business alignment
- Provide financial insights to support management decision-making (e.g. headcount, cost optimisation, investment evaluation)
3. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Manage and develop a team of 3–4 members covering AP, AR, and Treasury functions
- Define clear roles and responsibilities, optimise workflows, and enhance team efficiency
- Coach and mentor team members, building a strong and sustainable finance talent pipeline
4. Cash & Operational Finance Oversight
- Oversee cash flow management and support cash forecasting and planning
- Collaborate with Treasury accountant and business teams to optimise liquidity and working capital
5. Finance Digitalisation
- Lead or actively participate in finance transformation projects like e-banking.
- Drive ERP (e.g. SAP) finance-related process improvements and standardisation
- Promote automation, efficiency, and data-driven finance operations
Job Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines.
2. 8–12 years of finance experience in multinational or manufacturing companies, with strong GL background
3. Good command of English as a working language
4. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
5. Strong financial analysis capabilities (SG&A, budgeting, variance analysis)
6. Familiarity with finance process optimisation and automation
7. Strong leadership and team management skills
8. Ownership mindset with accountability for results
9. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
10. Proactive, result-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities
