Your impact
As the Head of Software Product Supply & Maintenance, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of software product supply and maintenance, including continuous development, optimization, maintenance, provision and staging of existing software products. The software solutions build the foundation for the utilization in project deliveries and complementary product deployments.
Heading up this global product organization of approx. 50 colleagues, across different locations and group companies, this role includes strategic planning, management, knowledge development and ensuring the supply of high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. Moreover, you will have heavy interfaces into our CTO and COO organization as we will incorporate a new product every year.
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
- Leading and mentoring a multi-location team of software professionals, ensuring effective product lifecycle management and team collaboration.
- Maintaining and evolving the active software portfolio, including product takeovers and phase-outs.
- Support innovation and simplification in complex solution design, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Aligning and optimizing the interface between Product Supply and the corresponding delivery organizations.
- Execute the product roadmap and oversee end-to-end development in collaboration with Product Management and key business functions.
- Ensuring proactive monitoring, support, and lifecycle updates of active software products.
- Resolving technical issues efficiently and implement structured maintenance practices, including updates and patches.
- Enforcing quality and release management standards, ensuring alignment with BEUMER’s process model.
- Managing budgets and reporting processes and identifying risks during major product updates.
Your profile
We are looking for a strategic and experienced manager with deep technical roots—someone who not only understands how distributed software systems are built and maintained but can also orchestrate their seamless delivery at global scale. You bring the mindset of a product owner, the discipline of a site reliability engineer, and the leadership of a seasoned team builder. Moreover, you contribute with the following qualifications:
- Proven leadership of globally distributed teams with demonstrated success in scaling teams and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
- Solid experience in software engineering, DevOps, or end-to-end product lifecycle management, ideally within mission-critical or high-availability systems.
- Expertise in modern software delivery practices and strong grasp of system observability and incident management.
- Comfortable navigating complex enterprise architectures and integrating software products into broader industrial automation or logistics platforms.
- Experience working within or adjacent to airport operations, logistics, warehouse automation, or industrial control systems is a distinct advantage.
