Join us as an Electrical Design Engineer and play a key role in developing our innovative cage filling product – a robotic solution that ensures safe and efficient parcel handling in modern logistics centres.
You will join our Logistic Systems Product Engineering team, who designs complex sortation systems across the globe. You will be a member of a team dedicated to one of our new products: cage filling. Here, you will collaborate closely with specialists within different engineering disciplines e.g. steel, automation, software or site integration to create a product solution for our customers.
The cage filling solution focuses on filling a group of postal cages with parcels within a robot cell. The goal is to create a stable pile of items within each cage. Items must be handled gently, and overall machine and person safety is a must.
Apply your electronical knowledge
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you play a pivotal role in the development, design, and maintenance of electrical concepts, equipment, and components for the new product. You ensure alignment with the latest technological advancements while maintaining cost-effectiveness. More specifically, your tasks include – but are not limited to:
- Designing control panels for the cage filling solution and creating wiring diagrams for sensors, actuators, and drives.
- Developing electrical interfaces for PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
- Ensuring compatibility with warehouse management systems and preparing electrical schematics and documentation.
- Implementing safety solutions compliant with EN/ISO safety standards.
- Choosing appropriate sensors for material tracking and specifying motors and drives for the solution.
- Performing FAT and SAT as well as troubleshooting on electrical issues and support on maintenance strategies.
- Designing for scalability and modularity in logistic centers.

Your profile
You bring technical expertise, a structured mindset, and a collaborative approach to complex engineering projects. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in an environment that values innovation, accountability, and teamwork. Moreover, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Competent in creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, with knowledge of EPLAN or similar design tools.
- Experienced in specifying and selecting appropriate sensors, actuators, motors, and drive systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and integration within automated systems.
- System understanding of hardware and interfaces, E-stop and machine safety as well as risk assessment.
- Experience with SAP or an interest in getting confident with the system.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication networks.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
