Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our Calgary-based Engineering team, contributing to Mineral and Mining projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience in mechanical design, engineering analysis, and project execution. This role is designed to bridge academic theory with practical application, giving you exposure to industrial equipment design, and real-world problem-solving. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and project teams to support the development of innovative, efficient, and reliable mechanical solutions.

- Start date: September 2026
- Location: Calgary, AB
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering team in solving mechanical design and engineering challenges.
- Assist with daily engineering tasks as required, gaining real-world experience across different areas of mechanical engineering.
- Participate in the design and development of mechanical components.
- Create and develop AutoCAD drawings and 3D models.
- Contribute to the preparation of engineering documentation, including drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Other administrative or engineering duties assigned as necessary by senior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of basic engineering principles.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor or similar.
- Ability to read drawings and to create sketches.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to quickly absorb new concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, positive attitude and a strong team player.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada at time of application.
