Job Description

As an intern within the People & Culture Team, you will positively demonstrate the company’s core values and leadership principles by developing trust and respect among peers and management, partnering with others through collaborative team efforts, with a goal of providing exceptional service. As the strategic and primary focus of this role, you will play a valuable part in supporting various People & Culture functions within the organization, focusing on recruitment for BEUMER North America. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. 

  • Recruitment:
    • Support end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting through onboarding.
    • Conduct phone screens, interviews and assist in the selection of candidates.
    • Prepare employment documentation.
    • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g., LinkedIn, job boards, university career portals).
    • Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates regarding interview details.
    • Assist with the preparation of interview materials and documentation.
    • Update and maintain candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Support the recruitment team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Onboarding:
    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including scheduling orientation sessions, preparing necessary documentation, and facilitating introductions to key team members.
    • Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies, procedures, and culture.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
    • Develop and maintain onboarding materials, including handbooks, checklists, and training resources.
    • Collect feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding process.
    • Assist with other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.
  • Compliance and Policy Administration:
    • Develop, update, and communicate People & Culture policies and procedures.
    • Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to company policies

      Internship Duration will be 3 months. 

Qualifications

  • Completed minimum of 2 years of professional study and in pursuit or hold a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field. 
  • Preferable prior internship or work experience. 
  • Hands on experience with HR information systems, preferably UKG, SmartRecruiters.
  • Process focused – ability to create and continuously improve workflows.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • People friendly – with a demonstrated track record of service-centric outcomes that create value for employees and the company.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to get along well with diverse personalities, while in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, process development and organizational management.
  • Highly organized in working, thinking and prioritizing.
